T.J. Maxx / Marshalls Holiday Giveaway

Congratulations to #32 – Jackie M.! I have emailed Jackie and if she does not reply within 24 hours, I will select a new winner using Random.org.

Have you shopped at T.J. Maxx or Marshalls lately? If not, now is a great time to look for gifts for friends, family and yourself!

I stopped by T.J. Maxx over the weekend to see what I could find. I was surprised by how many items were on clearance. The prices are already lower than retail, but when they have the red sale sticker on them, you are likely to find some good deals!

Both Marshalls and T.J. Maxx (owned by the same company) carry a large variety of items – clothing, accessories, electronics, books, home decor, bed and bath items, gourmet food, beauty products, brand-name toys and more.

I found a $70 summer dress for $5.00 and a $50 pair of shoes for $10. I also saw many of the same toys I bought last summer at the Target 75% off sale for what would have been the equivalent of 50% off at Target (this is the everyday price, not the red tag price!). Not bad if you are looking for toys this month!

My T.J. Maxx also had lots of jewelry and home decor on clearance, and some really nice holiday outfits.

Toys for Tots Fundraiser & Carol-Oke Video Contest

Have you seen the T.J. Maxx/Marshalls commercial with the carolers in a shopping mall? You can now create your own “Carol-oke” video and upload it to YouTube for a chance to win a $5,000 holiday shopping spree or one of 15 $100 gift cards.

And for each person that uploads a Carol-oke video, T.J.Maxx/Marshalls will donate $1.00 to Toys for Tots (up to $50,000)!

$25 Giftcard Giveaway

Marshalls/T.J. Maxx sent me two $25 gift cards — one good at each store. I’m sharing one of them with one lucky reader. The winner will get to choose which gift card he/she would like to receive (either Marshalls or T.J. Maxx)!

You never know what you might find at T.J. Maxx or Marshalls. More than a decade ago, I found many pieces of my Wedgwood china pattern at a fraction of what I paid at a major retailer. Fortunately I had only purchased a few items, so I went to every T.J. Maxx in Washington, DC, Southern Maryland and Northern Virginia to buy all the pieces I could find. It was definitely my best find!

Giveaway Rules:
To enter this contest, leave a comment sharing a great deal you have found at T.J. Maxx or Marshalls, or if you haven’t shopped at either store yet, let me know what you’d look for if you win the gift card. This entry is required.

Get a second (optional) entry by voting for my Ile de France appetizer. Just click the stars (5 is best!) to vote. No registration is required. In the comment you leave below, let me know how many votes were cast before you voted or the rating after you voted.

Be sure to leave two comments if you do both the required and optional entries.

Comments will close on Wednesday, December 16 at 9:00 PM Central. After that time, I will use Random.org to select a winner.

I will contact the winner via email and will post the name on this page. The winner will have 24 hours to respond with an address so I can mail the card. If the winner does not respond within 24 hours, I will use Random.org to select a new winner.

Good luck!

I haven’t shopped at either store in a while, but I used to buy my swimsuits at Marshall’s every year. I never spent more than $15 for values of at least double that!

I found a Polish Pottery baker at Marshalls a few years ago. I loved it and baked everything in it. It cracked last year and broke in half, and I was so sad! I am always on the lookout for another one every time I go to Marshalls or TJ Maxx.

I love Marshall’s. My husband wears dockers to work, and they are so much cheaper there. When I introduced him to Marshall’s after we got married, he was amazed that it was possible to save so much money without having to “catch a sale.”

Years ago, I went to TJ Maxx in NH while on vacation and got an awesome set of black, white and red stonewear dishes. Very classy looking and at a fraction of the $100+ price they had from another retailer. They lasted for 10-15 years, and I always got complimented on my neat designer dinnerware…
